It's the first post on my new website! I've had a website since 2006, but it's been in Wordpress.  Since we have two different Drupal 6.x installations at MPOW for the intranet and main website content management systems, I thought that I would test out the new Drupal Gardens.  I figure if I can get more exposure to Drupal for my own personal website, it could only help me to become more familiar with the tools I use at work, and to help improve the user experience for the other people in the library that use the cms.  Yay for adventure!  Additionally, since this URL is http://rachelvacek.drupalgardens.com, I've set up a CNAME to basically redirect people here that type in http://www.rachelvacek.com, which is plastered all over the internet.  I still haven't decided if I want to move all my posts from the past few years into this new site or not. We'll see.
